BMW servotronic fault codes

The 22 fault codes the servotronic can store, and what each one means. Some codes mean different things in different versions of the module; tap a code to see which applies to your car.

  • 656E SVT: Undervoltage
  • 656F SVT: Overvoltage
  • 6570 Encode SVT
  • 6571 SVT: Control unit, internal memory fault
  • 6572 SVT: Transport mode
  • 6573 SVT: Control unit, internal
  • 6574 Servotronic valve: High side, short to earth
  • 6575 Servotronic valve: High side, short to B+
  • 6576 Servotronic valve: Low side, short to earth
  • 6577 Servotronic valve: Open circuit
  • 6578 Servotronic valve: Low side, short to B+
  • 6579 Servotronic valve: Power consumption implausible during initialization
  • 6580 Servotronic valve: Power consumption implausible
  • 6581 SVT: Wake-up line faulty
  • CC87 SVT: PT-CAN Communication fault
  • CC94 No message (terminal status, 130)
