BMW independent/auxiliary heater fault codes
The 19 fault codes the independent/auxiliary heater can store, and what each one means. Some codes mean different things in different versions of the module; tap a code to see which applies to your car.

- 9B28 SHZH: Control module faulty
- 9B29 SHZH: No start
- 9B2A SHZH: Flame interruption
- 9B2B SHZH: Voltage fault
- 9B2C SHZH: External light
- 9B2D SHZH: Overheating
- 9B2E SHZH: Heater locking
- 9B2F SHZH: Metering pump circuit faulty
- 9B30 SHZH: Combustion-air fan circuit faulty
- 9B31 SHZH: Heating element/combustion chamber sensor faulty
- 9B32 SHZH: Water pump circuit faulty (circulation pump)
- 9B33 SHZH: Shutoff valve circuit faulty (changeover valve)
- 9B34 SHZH: Fuel coding faulty
- 9B35 SHZH: Message fault
- 9B36 SHZH: Operating mode faulty
- 9B37 SHZH: Deactivation due to heating time being exceeded
- 9B38 Message (status, auxiliary coolant pump, 0x2CF) incorrect, receiver SHZH, transmitter IHKA
- E784 SHZH: K-CAN line fault
- E787 CAN Bus-Off error
