Although Shutdown (Execute) was sent, the light did not go out. (Error_Light_Not_OFF).

Reading and clearing it

Fault code D58E is a BMW code, stored in the car's control module, rear-compartment display (gateway), not a generic OBD2 code (P0xxx): a generic OBD2 reader only reaches the engine's emissions faults, so it won't show it.
