BMW on-board monitor, wideshield fault codes

The 25 fault codes the on-board monitor, wideshield can store, and what each one means. Some codes mean different things in different versions of the module; tap a code to see which applies to your car.

  • 0000 BM: Transport mode active
  • 0001 Watchdog reset (and 2 other meanings)
  • 0002 BM: LCD monitor, overtemperature (and 2 other meanings)
  • 0003 Radio Status telegram timeout (and 2 other meanings)
  • 0004 Short circuit audio line 1 (and 5 other meanings)
  • 0005 Short circuit audio line 2 (and 5 other meanings)
  • 0006 Short circuit audio line 3 (and 5 other meanings)
  • 0007 BM: Short circuit, LF line 1 (and 4 other meanings)
  • 0008 K-Bus Transmit (and 2 other meanings)

  • 0014 Monitor temperature sensor implausible value (and 2 other meanings)
