BMW seat memory, front passenger fault codes
The 22 fault codes the seat memory, front passenger can store, and what each one means. Some codes mean different things in different versions of the module; tap a code to see which applies to your car.
On: 6 Series (E63), 6 Series (E64)
- 0000 SMB: Hall sensor, backrest angle: short circuit to ground
- 0001 SMB: Hall sensor, backrest angle: open circuit
- 0002 SMB: Hall sensor, backrest angle: short circuit to positive
- 0003 SMB: Hall sensor, seat height: short circuit to ground
- 0004 SMB: Hall sensor, seat height: open circuit
- 0005 SMB: Hall sensor, seat height: short circuit to positive
- 0006 SMB: Hall sensor, seat angle: short circuit to ground
- 0007 SMB: Hall sensor, seat angle: open circuit
- 0008 SMB: Hall sensor, seat angle: short circuit to positive
- 0009 SMB: Hall sensor, seat sled: short circuit to ground
- 000A SMB: Hall sensor, seat sled: open circuit
- 000B SMB: Hall sensor, seat sled: short circuit to positive
- 000C SMB: Hall sensor, head restraint: short circuit to ground
- 000D SMB: Hall sensor, head restraint: open circuit
- 000E SMB: Hall sensor, head restraint: short circuit to positive
- 000F SMB: Hall sensor, backrest lock: short circuit to ground
- 0010 SMB: Hall sensor, backrest lock: open circuit
- 0011 SMB: Hall sensor, backrest lock: short circuit to positive
- 0012 SMB: Hall sensor ST2 not connected: short circuit to ground
- 0013 SMB: Control-module fault: motor bridge faulty
- 0014 SMB: Seat control switch: short circuit to positive
- 0015 SMB: Seat control switch: short circuit to ground
