BMW digital sound processor fault codes

The 13 fault codes the digital sound processor can store, and what each one means. Some codes mean different things in different versions of the module; tap a code to see which applies to your car.

  • 0003 DSP: Digital Sound Processor: fault stored (no I-BUS echo at DSP) (and 4 other meanings)
  • 0004 DSP: Digital Sound Processor: fault stored (unknown diagnostic command received) (and 4 other meanings)
  • 0005 DSP could not be initialized (and 3 other meanings)
  • 0006 Low voltage Terminal 30 detected during self-test (and 3 other meanings)
  • 0007 Low voltage radio on detected during self-test (and 3 other meanings)

  • 0009 Checksum error in internal EEPROM (UTL) (and 3 other meanings)
