BMW radio fault codes
The 6 fault codes the radio can store, and what each one means. Some codes mean different things in different versions of the module; tap a code to see which applies to your car.
On: 3 Series (E46), Z8 (E52), X5 (E53), X3 (E83), Z4 (E85), Z4 (E86)
- 0000 RAD: Transport mode active
- 0001 RAD: Fault in the CD-changer interface
- 0002 RAD: Fault in antenna power supply
- 0003 RAD: CD drive: deactivation, overtemperature
- 0004 RAD: CD drive: hardware fault
- 0005 RAD: CD drive: read error
