BMW multifunction steering wheel fault codes
The 5 fault codes the multifunction steering wheel can store, and what each one means. Some codes mean different things in different versions of the module; tap a code to see which applies to your car.
On: 7 Series (E38), 5 Series (E39)
- 0001 Data line interruption signal line to MFL
- 0002 Right buttons SB and VER pressed simultaneously
- 0003 Left buttons radio volume up and down pressed simultaneously
- 0007 Short circuit steering wheel supply voltage to ground
- 000A EEPROM write error
